Lion Horse is the brain child of Cameron Whitlock and Matt Watson. Rising out of the ashes of former southern rock project, Lion Horse Cavalry, Whitlock and Watson take a unique approach to audio. Relying on creativity and texture rather than virtuosity, the Lion Horse sound is intricate yet familiar and simple.

Their EP is appropriately titled A Ridiculous Beginning as it is the first attempt for the two writers to produce and recorded their music. Although they had been in the process of writing several songs for years, the Music Business Program at the University of Georgia finally gave them the opportunity to record an EP. A Ridiculous Beginning is a 3-song 15 minute long adventure through space and time. From spacey echo and reverb to hard driving distortion, A Ridiculous Beginning paints a picture of adventure, war, space, heroism, and self-doubt. It’s a luscious soundscape that is futuristic yet retro.

When all is thought lost, and all hope is gone, the Lion Horse will rise from the ashes, and the people, they will rejoice.
